I used to be the girl who was always “on the go”.
You know, the girl who was always busy–always doing any and everything.
While that’s not necessarily a problem, not making time for God is. During those moments, it was as if I was trying to be the next “Fixer Upper”, when what I really needed to do was be still. And that was hard for me.
It was hard because I knew that it required trust…and a whole lot of faith.
Sometimes we need those little moments of rest to truly find ourselves. For it is in those intimate times where God speaks so clear. Away from the noise and chaos…just you and your Maker.
I know that I’m pretty late in the game, but that’s exactly what I’ve been doing as of late.
Resting.
Finding myself in Him–dwelling in Him. And let me tell you something, life has not been easy, but I have found joy. Peace, even.
So, today, I encourage you to just breathe. That assignment that’s due, that book that you want to read, that friend that you want to hang out with…it all can wait. Press pause on life for a short while and talk to the Lord about your fears, hopes and aspirations. He’s a great listener.
Until next time, friends.
Xoxo
Sincerely,
Shae
